Indications:
LiverGuard can be used as a dietary supplement for patients with elevated liver enzymes, such as ALT, AST, GGT, elevated bile acids or total bilirubin. It is also indicated for patient with hepatomegaly due to primary liver disease.
Dose:
1 capsule for 20 lbs in patients with moderate disease, 1 capsule per 10 lbs for patients with severe disease given twice a day. Titrate to effect under a veterinarian's guidance.

Angelica root, salvia, frankincense, myrrh, tumeric rhizome, orange fruit, tangerine peel, peony root, bupleurum root, artemesia capillaris, testudinis shell, astralagus root, forsythia fruit, hawthorne berry, peach kernel, amomum fruit, chicken gizzard, gentiana macrophylla root, saussurea, white atractylodes rhizome, peria, schisandra fruit, licorice, rhemannia root, ophiopogon tuber, melia.
Monitoring:
The veterinarian can adjust the dose as needed based on liver profiles. If liver enzymes do not decrease with use of this supplement, reevaluate the patient for underlying causes of liver enzyme elevations. While not contraindicated, this supplement is not designed for patients with secondary hepatopathy, such as that due to hyperadrenocorticism.
Contraindications:
Do not use if the animal is sensitive to any component.
