Epicalm

Indications:
Refractory cluster slow recovery epilepsy.

Dose:
One-capsule per 10-20lbs of body weight twice daily depending on the severity. The dosage is recommended one full tablespoon twice daily for equine patients.

Ingredients:
Atractylodes/white, poria, bamboo silica, arisaema/bile, citrus, pinellia, grass leaved sweet flag root, moutan, gastrodia, lycii, pearl, earthworm, amber, silkworm, centipede, haematite, uncaria, scorpion, rhubarb, gardenia, gentiana root, bupleurum, oyster shell/raw, white peony, tortoise shell

Monitoring:
By physical examination.

Contraindications:
There is no contraindication known in conjunction with conventional drugs.

Prescribing Information:
Low dose corticosteroid or phenobarbital is needed in some cases. Toxicity & reactions are extremely rare. In some extreme cases, herbal supplements may cause vomiting & diarrhea in the first 24-48 hours. Symptoms stop as soon as the herbal supplements discontinued.
