Indications:
Tracheobronchitis, collapsed trachea, kennel cough with dry unproductive cough
Dose:
One capsule per 10-20lbs of body weight twice daily depending on the severity.
Ingredients:
Codonopsis, poria, aster, apricot seed, stemona, platycodon root, angelica radix, tangerine peel, donkey hide gelatin, anemarrhena, schizandra, licorice, ophiopogon, adenophora
Monitoring:
Monitoring is by clinical evaluation.
Contraindications:
Antibiotics, bronchial expectorants & anti-inflammatory medicines can be used in conjunction with herbals if needed, taper down as symptoms resolve.
Prescribing Information:
Toxicity & reactions are extremely rare. In some extreme cases, herbal supplements may case vomiting & or diarrhea in the first 24-48 hrs. Symptoms will stop as soon as the herbal supplement is discontinued.
